ATP Generation 2 participant Anita Bloom, her Generation 1 mother Beth, and Generation 3 daughter Rose were recently featured in the news!
In 2020 a separate, Victoria-wide longitudinal study named ‘Generation V’ is going to be launched by the MCRI. Anita and her family were featured in the launch last week to show how successful a study that collects information on children as they grow can be. Anita and her mother, Beth, discussed their involvement in the ATP over the past 34 years and encouraged other new parents to join similar research projects. Anita says: “By gathering as much information as they can – it’s bound to be beneficial. And it could help my daughter’s children.” The Generation V study will be recruiting a brand new group of participants from all babies born in Victoria in 2020, and so can learn lots from older, pre-existing studies like the ATP.
