Katherine is the Associate Director of Biostatistics. She began working at the Melbourne Children’s Trials Centre (MCTC) at its conception in 2013, and is responsible for the biostatistical team within the centre. Her role includes the development of processes and procedures within the MCTC, the management of statistical support provided by the centre, leading the innovation around trial methodology and the development of standard operating procedures and guidance documents for the practical researcher.

Katherine has an MSc and a PhD in biostatistics, as well as 9 years’ experience in clinical trials. Katherine began her career at the MRC Clinical Trials Centre in London, UK where she was the responsible statistician for two international, multicentre trials. Following this she joined the Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics Unit at the MCRI where she has worked for over 7 years, She has extensive experience in both clinical trials and observational studies across a range of medical disciplines. Katherine also has a methodlogical interest in the method of multiple imputation for dealing with missing data
